In the key change from E minor to E major and back, Harp 2 is given enough time to flip G-sharp levers. In the E major section, Harp 2 plays the melody of quarter notes and eighth notes against an accompanying triplet pattern in Harp 1, two against three, which is fun to play and to hear. We have slow rolled chords, and a peaceful descending glissando ends the lullaby.
Brazilian Lullaby
$3.50 – $8.50
Shari Pack has arranged this “Brazilian Lullaby” for two harps – Harp 1 is best played on a pedal harp and Harp 2 works on the lever harp. The words of this unusual lullaby tell us that “Tutu Maramba will never harm my child, for father has slain the sly demon of the wild.” (See composer's notes below.)
