Notes from the composer:
“The form [of Moon Canticle] could be described as a fantasia of constantly evolving, descending melodic lines that fall like moonbeams upon an enchanted forest of shifting harmonic shadows. Though mysterious at times, the style is Neoromantic, melodic, and accessible for harpists’ audiences, in addition to being a great showpiece for the harp. It requires the harpist to gently stroke some metal wind chimes (easy to purchase anywhere) at points in the piece to add to the mysterious effect.”
