The Japanese Harp is a collection of 23 folks songs and lullabies from Koto literature, transcribed from Koto tablature and adapted for solo lever or pedal harp by Deborah Dahl Shanks. Some of the songs in the book include both an easy and intermediate arrangement as well as song versions with words. These arrangements endeavor to remain true to the sound of the Koto zither. The arrangements are appropriate for a large lever harp with 2 octaves below middle C and tuned to Eb or C. The songs are very accessible and appropriate for mid-beginner to intermediate players with limited or easy lever changes.
